Tammie Carter Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 18, 2025.
Tammie Renee Carter, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on November 17, 2025, at the age of 59, in Richardson, Texas. Born on December 30, 1965, in Crowley, Texas, Tammie's vivacious spirit and infectious laughter filled the lives of all who knew her.

Her journey began as the beloved daughter of Eddie and Rose Melton, who preceded her in death. Tammie's youthful days in Crowley were filled with adventures that foreshadowed her strong-willed and rebellious nature, qualities that would later define her as a remarkable individual. Her brothers, Greg Melton and his wife Susan, and Rodney Melton and his wife Beth, shared in the laughter and love that were the hallmarks of Tammie's life.

Tammie's legacy is carried on by her devoted sons, Troy (TJ) Carter and his wife Winnie, and Cole Carter. She was the proud and adoring grandmother to Torie, Jaxon, and Edwin, who were the light of her life. Her unwavering love for her family was evident in every action and word, and her guidance and support were her greatest gifts to them.

In her professional life, Tammie was a respected figure in the real estate industry. Her honesty and kindness, coupled with her sense of humor, made her not only successful but also beloved by her colleagues. Tammie's passion for her work was paralleled only by her dedication to her family and friends.

A true Texan at heart, Tammie was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Her enthusiasm for the team was infectious, and she never missed a game. Her love for the Cowboys was matched by her enjoyment of watching Judge Judy, whose wit and wisdom she admired greatly.

Above all, Tammie's love for her family was the essence of her being. Her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her sons and grandchildren, where her loving nature was most profoundly exhibited. She had a unique ability to make each family gathering memorable, filled with laughter and love.

Tammie's best friend, Kelli Floyd, stood by her side through thick and thin. Their friendship was a testament to Tammie's loyalty and her capacity for deep and enduring connections. Together, they shared countless memories that will continue to bring smiles and comfort in the days to come.

As we say goodbye to Tammie, we celebrate a life lived fully, with passion and love. Her story does not end with her passing, for her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed.
