Tammy Bennett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Upstate Cremation Services - Laurens on Mar. 17, 2026.
Tammy Phillips Bennett, 55, passed away on March 13, 2026. She was born on March 30, 1970.

Tammy loved her family more than anything. She had a fun, free-spirited personality and was always doing something a little crazy to make people laugh. She never worried about who might be watching-she just enjoyed life and being herself. Those who knew her will always remember her sense of humor, her big heart, and the joy she brought to the people around her. Tammy was also a huge Clemson Tigers fan. She loved cheering for Clemson and was always proud to support her team.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicki Phillips and Jerry Phillips; her husband, Ricky Bennett; and her sister, Deirdre Phillips Hanley.

She is survived by her brother, Randy Phillips (Marie), her sister, Dawn Phillips Cooley (Lee), and her brother-in-law Randall Hanley. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much: Chris (Angel), Zachary (Ashley), Amanda (Jeremy), Hillary (Mark), Spencer (Amanda), Justin, Claudia (Chris), Miranda, Chandler (Elizabeth), and Garrison, along with nine great-nieces and nephews who meant so much to her.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to the staff at NHC for the care, kindness, and compassion they showed Tammy.

A memorial service will be held at Anchor Point Baptist Church, 128 Camellia Drive, Anderson, SC, on March 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM
