With hearts heavy yet grateful for a life so beautifully lived, we celebrate the journey of Tammy Brauner, who passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 62, surrounded by the family she so deeply cherished. After a courageous battle with cancer, Tammy’s unwavering spirit and love left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

Born on April 18, 1962, in Brenham, TX, Tammy was the beloved daughter of Antone and Carolyn Kubeczka. In 1982, she married her soulmate, Dwayne Brauner, beginning a lifetime of love, partnership, and laughter. Together, they raised two children, Ryan and Rachel, who were the light of Tammy’s life.

Tammy’s days were filled with warmth, joy, and the little things that made life special. She had an infectious laugh and a love for dancing that could light up any room. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious aromas and cherished memories, as Tammy shared her passion for baking—a gift passed down from her mother and mother-in-law. Her pies, peanut brittle, and other treats weren’t just desserts; they were tokens of her love and generosity, served with a smile that made everyone feel at home.

Professionally, Tammy was a dedicated and compassionate district clerk, serving her community with integrity and heart.

Above all, Tammy treasured her family. She adored reminiscing with Dwayne about their early days together and valued the simple joys of their time as a couple. She reveled in traveling, particularly when accompanying Rachel on trips to Washington, D.C., where they shared “girl-time” filled with sightseeing and laughter over junk food. Tammy’s love for her family extended to her son, Ryan, with whom she shared countless meaningful moments.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Dwayne; her son, Ryan and daughter, Rachel Brauner; and her mother, Carolyn Kubeczka. She also leaves behind her sister, Vicky and her brother-in-law, Michael Muegge; her niece, Melissa and husband Kelly Guttenberger along with their children, Grant and Ella; and her nephew, Brett and wife Rachel Muegge with their children, Rhen and Arlie.

Her family circle also includes her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Howard Lyness; her sisters-in-law, Marie Sebastian and Sharon Brauner; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing Tammy.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Antone Kubeczka; her parents-in-law, Herbert and Sophie Brauner; and her brothers-in-law, Earnest Henry Brauner and Herman Sebastian.

Tammy’s legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness lives on in all who were privileged to know her. Her family invites you to celebrate her remarkable life by cherishing the memories you shared and carrying forward her spirit of kindness.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Chapel, located at 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833. The family will be present to receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
