Tammy Eyvonne Gibson, 61 of Lake Wales, Florida, formerly of Odessa died on December 22, 2023 at her residence. Tammy was born January 26, 1962 in Big Spring, Texas to Mildred Laverne Chavers and Raymond Jabe Whirley. The family moved to Odessa in the mid 1960’s and she attended Odessa schools. Tammy had two children, Angie and Jack, who she raised as a stay-at-home mom. She recently moved to Lake Wales, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Raymond Whirley, her husband Jack Gibson and siblings, Allen, Michael, Dennis and Deana.
She is survived by her children, Angie Escobedo and husband Lee of Ira, Texas and son Jack Gibson of Odessa. Grandchildren; Emily Escobedo, Cole Gibson, Chloe Gibson, and Easton Gibson. Her siblings; Jerry Madry, Sharon Herrington, Patti Floyd, and MaryAnn Smith.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm the family will be at the funeral home from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 8th at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leroy Ochoa of Knapp Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
