Tammy Strunk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Society of Indiana on Apr. 16, 2025.
Tammy Belle Strunk passed away on April 10, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 63.
Born on May 9, 1961, in Indianapolis, Tammy was the daughter of Robert "Bob" Cook and Nance Cook Hornady. She shared a bond with her siblings, Charles "Butch" Cook and Linda Sue Smith. Tammy's family circle extended through her marriage to Larry DeWayne Strunk; they were united in marriage on March 5, 1988, and shared 37 years together.
Tammy and Larry were the proud parents of one daughter, Lauren Victoria Strunk, born April 10, 1989, who preceded her in death on December 2, 2017. Tammy's life was deeply intertwined with her extended family. She is remembered fondly by her brother-in-law Tom Martin Smith and sister-in-law Jennie Cook; father-in-law Lowell T Strunk Sr, Stepmother-in- Law Sandra S Stunk; Larry's siblings-Lowell Thomas Strunk Jr. and his wife Tammy Burkhard-Strunk, Jackie Strunk Barry, and Maria Dawn Petrasek with her husband Robert F. Petrasek-as well as by fifteen nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Butch in 2020; her mother-in-law Karen Ann Strunk in 2009; and daughter Lauren.
Throughout her life, Tammy dedicated herself to evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development, impacting thousands both nationally and internationally. Her teachings enabled many women and men to realize their true potential within the Kingdom of God. The Lord acknowledges her service with the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
Tammy passed away on her daughter Lauren's birthday, a significant day that marked their reunion in Heaven. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy bring comfort to all whose lives she touched.

We miss Tammy, and were blessed to have known and worked with her these last years. You couldn't have a more faithful and true friend, and her work ethic was amazing. Love to all the family who will miss her and her many gatherings, and especially to husband Larry who Tammy treasured as did he her. Thankful in this sorrow that we all have the comfort of knowing she and Lauren are with the Lord of Lord's and King of King's who wipes away our every tear and loves her forever. Lisa & Mike (and the Prestige team).
