Tamra “Tammy” Lee Boyce, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2025, following a long battle of early onset Alzheimer’s. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and dedication to her family and community touched many lives.

Tammy was born on April 23, 1956, in Murray, Utah, to Marlin Boyd Jensen and Margaret Louise Olson. She grew up surrounded by love and carried that same warmth into every relationship she built throughout her life.

She married the love of her life on June 14, 1974, Rick Donald Boyce, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and together they created a beautiful family. She was a devoted mother to Tim (deceased) (Sharon), Jeff (Melissa), Brad (Laura), Harmony (Pawel), and Bryan (Carlie). Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great grandchild, whom she adored beyond measure.

Tammy dedicated herself to serving the Lord and others, both in her home and in her community. She was actively involved in Farmington City, serving as a city council member and leading initiatives such as the city’s Easter egg hunt, the city parade, and the Youth City Council. Her compassionate nature and leadership left a lasting impact on those she served.

She found happiness in simple pleasures-her bowling league, “The Screwballs,” brought her laughter and friendship, while time spent by the ocean filled her with peace. But above all, her heart was always with her family, who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, wit, and unwavering support.

Tammy was preceded in death by her twin boys, Aaron and Eric who passed at birth, her son Timothy Rick Boyce who passed in Iraq serving his country, and her dear parents Boyd and Marge Jensen. While her passing leaves a deep void, her legacy of love, service, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Her family extended their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared in her life and a special thanks to Whisper Cove Assisted Living in taking loving care of her for the year preceding her death. Her family invites those who knew and loved her to join in remembering the incredible woman she was.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Atlas Hospice, especially to Kendra and Alyssa for their sweet care.

A Celebration of Tammy’s life will be held on Monday February 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Layton Legacy Stake Center, 752 N. 3700 W. Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Sunday February 16, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road Layton, Utah and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 at the church.

Interment, Will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Farmington City Cemetery.
