Tanalee A. Storm

Tanalee Ann Elizabeth Storm, 76, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully Saturday Morning at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

Tanalee was born in Seattle, Washington on March 28, 1949, the daughter of Victor Joseph and Bette Rose (With) Battista. She graduated from Sioux Falls High School and attended Sioux Falls College. After moving to Galesburg, Tanalee worked at Costa School where she taught religion. She went on to work for several years at Bergner’s Store and later worked as a mall leasing agent at numerous malls. She last worked for McFall Monuments in Galesburg until her retirement.

Tanalee was the proud mom of four boys all of whom survive her, Corey Storm of Oquawka, Illinois, Aaron (Stephanie) Storm of Normal, Illinois, Brian (Michelle) Storm of Dahinda, Illinois, and Jeremy (Theresa) Storm of Cullom, Illinois; her nine beloved grandchildren, Mekinzie, Caleb, Michael, Kylie, Ethan, Ava, Noah, Lincoln, and Ryder; and her two adored great granddaughters, Cali and Emerson. Tanalee is also survived by two sisters, Renae (Kurt) Turback and Debbie (Brad) Colby both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and two brothers, Cleland (Patty) Battista of Rapid City, South Dakota and Mike (Tammy) Battista of Hill City, South Dakota. Along with her parents, Tanalee was preceded in death by one brother, Les Battista.

Tanalee was a perpetual volunteer and enjoyed several years as a volunteer for St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana. She enjoyed playing cards and taking care of her garden and plants, along with feeding and watching the wildlife in her gardens. Tanalee had a generous and giving heart and was always there to help anyone in need. She had a great love for animals, especially dogs. And above all else, her four boys and their families were her everything.

As Tanalee Always said, “Feel My Hugs”.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
