Tanna L Stauffer, 84, of Chillicothe passed away peacefully at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born October 23, 1941 in Chillicothe to the late Robert and Katherine Kauffman McCoy. On August 8, 1959 she married Fred D. Stauffer Jr., who preceded her in death on November 3, 2001.

Surviving are children, Steve (Tracey) Stauffer, of Belpre, Scott (Kelli) Stauffer, Jeff (Aimee) Stauffer, Melissa (Don) Diehl, and Kris (Mark) Mendenhall, all of Chillicothe; Grandchildren Zach Stauffer, Jason (Emily) Stauffer, Scotti (Sarah) Stauffer, J.R. (Karissa) Stauffer, Erik (Samantha) Stauffer, Ashley (Dakota) Allen, Cole (Kathleen) Stauffer, Carson (Jacquelyn) Stauffer, Calley Stauffer, Owen (Brooke) Diehl, Izak (Jayla) Diehl, Seth Mendenhall, Briana Mendenhall and was preceded in death by one grandchild, Cale Stauffer. She is also survived by 24 Great grandchildren with 2 more on the way, as well as one Great-Great Grandchild; a brother-in-law John Stauffer and sister-in-law Mary Stauffer, as well as two nieces, Susan (David) Hixson and Heidi (John) West.

Tanna was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was the ultimate matriarch of her family and a true beauty. She married her high school sweetheart and supported his career at the Mead papermill as well as on the farm. She loved to cook, bake, garden, paint, and craft. She loved flowers and was a member of the Liberty Garden Club. She was a caregiver at heart who made all who met her feel loved. She was dedicated to her family and her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Funeral Services will be held at 2p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at Ware Funeral Home with Pastor John Evans II officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Caramel Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. and funeral services will follow.
