Tanya "Bee" Coomer, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in South Lebanon, Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 23, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio, she lived a life full of connections, laughter, and cherished memories.

Known for her infectious personality, Bee never met a stranger. Her witty sense of humor brought joy to many, as she loved to play jokes and pranks that brightened the days of all who knew her. She had an immense capacity for patience and kindness, never giving up in her long and courageous battle against Parkinson’s disease. Throughout her struggles, she remained steadfast in her faith and unwavering in her love for her family.

Bee's heart was most alive when she was surrounded by her loved ones. She took great pride in being a devoted wife to Bobbie E. Coomer, Jr., with whom she shared nearly three decades of love and partnership. Their chance reunion at Kroger's led to an inseparable bond, creating a beautiful life together that was filled with adventure and affection. Her love extended to her children, Michelle Bush, B.J. (Melanie) Coomer, Sarah (Tim) Isaacs, and Christopher (Katy) Coomer, as well as many grandchildren, each one cherished deeply. She has left an indelible mark on their hearts and will be forever remembered as a guiding light in their lives.

Bee’s vibrant spirit shone through in her many hobbies and interests. She was a huge fan of Reds baseball, passionately watching every televised game; her family knew better than to suggest changing the channel during those moments. Halloween held a special place in her heart, where she delighted in passing out candy and sharing the joy of the holiday. She enjoyed the thrill of scary movies and had a fondness for bowling, having participated in a league before her health began to decline. A true animal lover, Tanya found comfort and happiness in the company of cats.

As a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, Bee built bonds that transcended the ordinary, creating memories that her family will treasure forever. She was surrounded in life by her loving sisters, Jewell Isaacs, Kathy Fultz, Sherry Chandler-Whitcomb, Connie Chandler, twin-sister Shana Darrell, and Doris Cockerham, along with supportive brothers Terry (Shelia) Chandler and Danny Ray Byrd. Tanya also cherished the memories shared with her deceased siblings, Helen Huff, Mary Joyce Marcum, Chris Chandler, David Chandler, Kelly Byrd, Marvin Byrd, and Eugene Byrd, as well as her parents, Millard D. and Hallie (nee Griffitts) Byrd.

In her passing, Bee is now rejoicing in heaven with those loved ones who have gone before her, including her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobbie and Martha Coomer, Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a profound sense of community that will continue to inspire her family and friends.

The Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM officiated by Pastor David Frasure. Bee’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her loving memory will be cherished for years to come.
