Tanya Irene Peterson

Tanya Peterson, 73, of Madison Lake, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025.

Tanya Irene was born July 20, 1952 in Mankato, MN to Paul and Fern Marienau. She graduated from Blue Earth High School, 1970. Tanya married Al Peterson in 1975. They made their home on beautiful Madison Lake where they raised 3 wonderful children. They later divorced.

Tanya loved entertaining family and friends, cooking, watching the Food Network Channel, taking trips out West, visiting Duluth, MN, and relaxing on the lake. We will miss Tanya’s kind heart, cooking, and stories.

Tanya is survived by her children: Jennifer Beinke of Winnebago, Clay (Kara) Peterson of Northfield, and Chris (Maggie) Peterson of Madison Lake. Grandchildren: Hank (Kaitlyn) Beinke, Nik Beinke, Elsa Peterson, Soren Peterson, and Owen Peterson. Sister, Patti (Mike) Crawford of St. Louis, MO. Nieces Kelly (Jason) Quinley, Kasey Crawford, and many other beloved relatives and friends.

Tanya is preceded in death by her parents Paul Marienau in 1966 and Fern Schuler Marienau in 1976, uncles, and aunts.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring. A private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
