Tao Lehman Obituary
Tao was born in Bryn Mawr, Pa., in 1945 to Rudolph and Helen Blancke lll. Tao was raised in Howard County, Maryland, and she attended Howard high School, Monticello Junior College and the University of Miami.
She leaves behind her loving children, daughter Tasha E. Carver and husband Andrew of Amelia Island, Fla., daughter Torri A. Lehman and fiancé Valentin Stepanchuk of Cascade Locks, Ore., husband Thomas H. Lehman of Amelia Island, Fla., brother Rudolph C. Blancke lV of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Kimberly Holbrook, Dylan and Logan Holbrook of Grand Blanc, Mich., Kelley and Todd Boza, Rudolph and Isabella Boza of Holly Springs, N.C., sister Jane Pitman of Timonium, Md., Gretchen and John Cannon, Charles and Jack Cannon of Glen Arm, Md., and Woody Pitman of Ellicott City, Md.
Tao loved all art, music, dancing and spending time on her beloved Amelia Island, surrounded by all of its natural beauty. She was also a strong supporter of the University of Miami
Hurricanes.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and best friend. Tao loved to design and decorate; she was an artist at heart. She loved to entertain, was an exceptional cook and hosted many holiday parties. Kindness, empathy, concern for others and a willingness to help anyone were just a few of Tao's greatest attributes.
Tao supported many community fundraisers; she was actively involved in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan), as she was a 5 1/2-year survivor of pancreatic cancer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors.
Rather than flowers, contributions, in Tao's honor, may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Purple Dove and the Community Hospice at Baptist Health Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla.

Tao and I go back to high school days. I have wonderful memories spending time at the family home and having good times. She was in my wedding, which I was so happy about her being there. We stayed in touch by text and on our birthdays which were four days apart. Many condolences to all of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
