Tara Marie Force

Tara Force, age 47, of Fergus Falls, passed away way too young on Friday, January 17th, 2025. She was born on July 11th, 1977 to Steven and Donna (Krog) Hauge in Fergus Falls, MN. 

Tara Tot spent her childhood enjoying time with her cousins, family, and friends. Her first job was parking cars with them at the Wee Town race track! She attended and graduated from school in Fergus Falls. She was on the first girl’s hockey team where she enjoyed playing all over the United States and Canada. Many of her closest friendships grew from her time playing and traveling with this sport. Tara enjoyed working at Pioneer Home and especially enjoyed her summer as a camp counselor in Detroit Lakes, MN. 

Tara went on to pursue her college education at MSUM in Moorhead, MN. She graduated with a degree in Mass Communications. 

Her career took her into the direction of Human Resources with Target, Cargill, Eddie Bauer, Cabela's, and Goodwill Easter Seals of Minnesota. 

Tara was married to Emily Force of Minneapolis, MN on March 14th, 2014. They resided in Albertville, MN until they moved to Cape Coral, Florida in July of 2021. She especially explored her passion for orchids and had a green thumb to keep them blooming all year long. 

The most important things to Tara were moments spent at the lake, on the pontoon, and she was very fond of shelling on the beaches in Florida. She had a very strong love for all animals, and this was evident through the many cats and dogs she loved in her life. (her mother always told her “No more animals, Tara!") 

Tara’s memory will forever be cherished by her wife, Emily Force; her parents Steven and Donna (Krog) Hauge; her sister Trisha Mortenson (Michael); her sister cousins Kari Joy and Shelly Boen; mother-in-law Laury Deerson; sister and brother-in-law Marni Force and Riley Force; numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles and Godchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Raymond Krog, Helen Richter (Jerry), Donald Hauge, Arvella Peterson; cousin Christopher Boen; brother-in-law Tyler Force; pets Sofie, Samson, Delilah and Bella.

Visitation will be Saturday January 25, 2025, at 11:00am with a memorial service at 1:00pm at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls.
