Tara K. Janosik, 39, of Blakely, died Sunday morning, July 6, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital after a brief battle against Acute Demyelinating Disease.
Born February 2, 1986 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she was the daughter of Josephine (Ciculli) Head of Waymart, and the late Joseph F. McHugh who died in 2024.
Tara was a kind, loving, and compassionate young woman who cared deeply about others and went above and beyond for all. Her smile would make you smile, her sense of humor was unmatched, and the her personality was one of a kind. She was a Christian, and her faith was very important to her. For many years Tara worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart. In 2022, she graduated from Fortis Institute in Scranton, became a Licensed Practical Nurse, and continued to care for the residents at Wayne Woodlands. She will be remembered most as an amazing mother who loved her family beyond measure. Although we may never understand why her life on this earth was so brief, we are all better people because of having had Tara in our lives. We will love you forever!
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, Daniel Janosik of Blakely; two daughters, Isabella Pietrzak and her fiancé Tyler Parsons of Willow Springs, Missouri, and Emma Weist of Honesdale; four grandchildren: Aaron, Asher, Noah, and Theodore; a sister, Angela Mercado and her husband Jason of Gouldsboro; a brother, Eric Head Jr. of Scranton; her best friend, Cassie Pietrzak of Gouldsboro; several cousins; aunts and uncles including: Jean Morris and her husband Robert and their children of Spencer, NY, and April O'Halloran and her sons of Long Island, NY; and her beloved cat, Splash.
