Taric Walters Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by D.M. Williams Funeral Home, Inc. - Rochester on Feb. 2, 2026.
Taric L. Walters lived a life rooted in discipline, loyalty, and love. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he was known for his intelligence, honesty, and strong work ethic. A protector and leader within his family, Taric believed in responsibility, self-respect, and always handling your business. His legacy of truth, guidance, and love will continue to live on through all who knew him.

Taric L. Walters was born on November 5, 1967, in Montgomery, Alabama, and later raised in Rochester, New York, where he built a life grounded in discipline, loyalty, and love.

From an early age, Taric stood out. He was athletic, focused, and driven, qualities that stayed with him throughout his life. As a young man, he trained in karate and competed in football, basketball, and track while attending John Marshall High School, graduating with the Class of 1985. Those who knew him then remember his strength, determination, and quiet confidence.

Taric proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a chapter of his life that shaped his character and deepened his sense of responsibility. After completing his military service, he continued his professional journey as a chemist at Kodak, where he was respected for his intelligence, strong work ethic, and dedication.

More than his accomplishments, Taric will be remembered for who he was. He was kind, loving, and incredibly smart. He spoke plainly and honestly, never harsh and always real, and had a way of telling the truth that often came with humor and heart. People appreciated his frankness, his stories, and the way he could say exactly what needed to be said while still making you laugh. He loved his coffee, enjoyed staying active with light workouts and could talk about sports for hours. One thing that always

brought him joy was connecting with and encouraging the younger generation.

Within his family, Taric was a protector and a leader. He was supportive, positive, and deeply loyal, someone you could count on without question. He showed love in many ways, whether through thoughtful gestures or meaningful words, and he treated people like family, whether related by blood or not. He believed in responsibility, self-respect, and handling your business, often reminding those around him not to be "slacking on your mackin."

Taric was preceded in death by his father, William Ed Reynolds and his brother, Reggie Walters. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Johnnie Mae Walters; his brother, Eric (Tamika) Reynolds; close family members, Phillip and Jordan Johnson; and a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry his presence with them.

Taric's legacy lives on through the lessons he shared, the guidance he gave, and the love he poured into others. He will be remembered as a hardworking man of truth, loyalty, and heart, a protector, a mentor, and a blessing to those who knew him.
