Born in
Portland, OR Taylor passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home. She was 39 years old. She had bravely and vigilantly fought through illnesses for the past several years but nothing that we thought would suddenly take her life.
Taylor attended Evergreen schools graduating with honors from Mtn. View High School. She played varsity doubles tennis and was undefeated her senior year. She also coached a summer tennis camp for kids and was an amazing coach, often hired by parents to privately coach their children.
She went on to attend Linfield College with a double major in Athletic Training and Physical Education, graduating with honors. She then attended Portland State University and received her Masters of Public Health with a Specialty in ’Risk Reduction Through Physical Activity and Nutrition. While at PSU she worked for the Portland Police Dept assisting in the cold case unit.
Wanting to be more hands on in helping people Taylor went on to become a Registered Nurse. Sadly, as nursing school was coming to an end, Taylor begin to have some serious health issues.
Taylor was an amazing woman who loved and treasured her family and friends. She was a daughter, sister, auntie and friend you could only dream of having. We were so blessed and proud to call her ours. She was brave, kind, funny, loyal, sensitive, sentimental, wise beyond her years and always stood for what she believed in. She had a love for learning, a free spirit and a quick wit, always making us laugh! She had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile.
She loved and advocated for animals and adored her cat Oreo who was always by her side. We can imagine their reunion in Heaven!
Taylor loved the beach. It was her happy place. She also loved music, movies, camping, travel, history and current world issues. While at Linfield she spent a month studying abroad in England, staying in London, visiting many places including Paris.
She was very creative and artistic and could solve or fix anything! She was an extremely quick study. She self taught herself to sew and quilt and made a couple beautiful quilts we cherish.
She loved many sports, tennis being at the forefront with hockey a close second! She attended many Winterhawks games and was loving the Seattle Kracken! She also loved baseball, especially the Mariners. We enjoyed riding the train to many games.
Our hearts are broken and we’re completely lost trying to live in a world without our beautiful girl.
We are the luckiest and blessed family to have had her for 39, way too short, years. She brought immense love and joy to our lives.
Until we see you again Sweet Pea you will be in our constant thoughts, our hearts and missed every minute of every day so very, very deeply. We love you to the moon and back
Taylor is survived by her beloved parents, Jim and Lori Anderson, her sister Mallory Anderson, her niece Azilynn and many family and friends.
Taylor was cremated at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. There was a private celebration of her life at our home February 26th with family and close friends. Her ashes will eventually be spread at her beloved Oregon Coast in Lincoln City.
