Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Taylor J. Burk US Army Specialist. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

Dear Sweet Child

I almost lost my son this week. The only comfort I had was that you would be there to meet him. I am thankful God chose not to take him because he knew that baby Jackson needed his Daddy.Isn't baby Jack beautiful?
We wish that you could know that we have found our paradise and love it so.
We know there will be a reunion in another paradise some day when we see your smile again and hear that laugh.
What a joy that will be. In our thoughts daily.

In Memory of Taylor ~ (Debra Estep)

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Taylor, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Dear Sweet Child,
There is not a day that passes that I do not hear your laughter and remember you in our home and there won't be a day to come that I don't feel the pain of your absence. You are never forgotten and many were not worthy of you. Love never dies and the time will come when I hear your laughter again.

I remember the first time I ever saw you sitting in the floor in Mitchell's room...Funny haircut. You became my son as you became Mitchell's best friend.
I welcomed you into our home always and several times you lived with us. I can still see you standing in the living room and I can hear the way you said my name. I remember how you hugged me with tears in your eyes the day I lost my Mother. I remember that Halloween when those people had that Scarecrow and how we made it extra special for all the people that drove by it. And the people with the Christmas lights and then the cop you yelled at on the way home.....How we all laughed and what fun we had. I remember the time you came home for Christmas and stayed with us the whole time you were there. We played games and laughed til we hurt. I remember the day you came to the house crying your eyes out because a girl had broken your heart. She wasn't worthy of you.
I remember going to Arizona to move you back to Amarillo.
You were part of my family and I loved you like my own. I have missed you and dreamed of you often and so has Mitchell. Mitchell saved you a chair at his wedding and I know you were there the day his son was born.Isn't he beautiful?...Every day of my life... I will remember you... miss you and cherish the memories of all the many years you were a part of our lives and I can still hear you say my name. Taylor, my son I will remember you.

Miss you brother. Rest In Peace. You are in my thoughts and prayers always. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

August 18, 2007

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

To the Family of Spc. Taylor Burk~

We understand what you are experiencing and feeling. No amount of words can ease the pain of your loss. We know firsthand there are no words of comfort at this time. We lost our only son 9~3~2004 at the age of 19 and it fells like yesterday. Just know that there are Marine families across the USA who is experiencing your loss and pain.

May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved and remembered by those who knew him as well as strangers who admired his courage and sacrifice? My deepest condolences, sympathy and prayers go out to the entire family. May God grant you peace, strength and comfort? I will keep your family in my prayers along with all the families of our American Hero’s. Another Fallen Hero --Thank you.

My family and I are thankful for the Bravery, Courage, Determinination and Service to fight for our country (our freedom), from you, my son and all the others in our armed forces for the sacrifice made for us. You all will not be forgotten.

We also have a Marine daughter and Marine son-in-law. I still fly my Marine flag and have my Marine tag and sticker on my vehicles because I'm PROUD of my SON and ALL THOSE MARINE MEN and WOMEN out there. I will always be a Marine. We are proud of all of you.

My Deepest and most heartfelt sympathy regarding the recent loss of Spc. Taylor J. Burk.
The price this young hero and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
There is so much thanks to be given, to these young heroes, for their Courage, Service and Dedication.
May Taylor rest safely in God's Loving Care and may God's Comfort and Grace be with the Burk family.
I am the sister of such a young hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago.

Surely He hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrow.
Isaiah 53:4

May the love and the memories of Taylor. live in your heart always.
Softly and slowly....
Time heals.

Sincerely hoping you can feel the thoughts of caring and support that surround you today and every day, as this Country mourns with you, for someone very precious to you, who is a Hero to all of us.

To the Family of Spc. Taylor J. Burk:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life. We lost a son 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally, but none of these courageous men and women will be forgotten. They will never be able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your loving memories will help to sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is those wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero. God Bless this courageous soldier and family.

Psalm 23

1

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!
