Ted Borowski was born March 7, 1931 in Warsaw, Poland. He went home to the Lord on February 23, 2026. Waiting for him there were his wife and soulmate, Catherine, father, Witold, Mother , Stanislawa, stepmother Luba, and his brothers, Stanislaw and Wladyslaw . As a boy and early teen, he survived the horrors of enemy occupation, and in other parts of war-torn Europe he served in the U.S. Army’s Mortuary Affairs. Courage, tenacity and resilience became Ted’s code. In 1951, he immigrated to America, married Catherine in 1953 and side by side, in the city of big shoulders, they envisioned and worked tirelessly to achieve the American dream. And they did. Ted helped to raise three children right: Richard, Theresa (Jose) Flores and Chester. Ted rejoiced in and loved his grandchildren, Nicole Flores-Hoks (Nate), Eric (Kristin) Flores and Hannah Borowski. He loved his great grandchildren, Milo, Leo, Roshani, Teddy and Mariana. He is also survived by his beloved and faithful niece, Maria (Richard) Bielowicz. All of us, and the countless lives he touched, will remember his expression of his love of life with his beautiful singing voice. Gratitude for all the gifts and blessings he bestowed upon us. Visitation Saturday, February 28th 8:00 am until time of funeral, 10:15 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca to Divine Mercy Polish Parish. Mass 11:00 am.
