I was so shocked to hear of Ted´s passing. I hadn´t heard from him in a while, and looked for him online. :( He hired me at Schlumberger back in the 90s and he was such a wonderful mentor and a great person. I just can´t believe he´s gone-he had so many plans and was so full of life. Will miss him very much. Can´t wait to see him in heaven though. Am very happy he´s with Jesus now.

Found out of Ted's passing only today and it came as a big surprise. We spoke each time I visited Zeiss, and it was like we were back at SLB again (minus a few folks). I truly enjoyed being his colleague over the years and valued his experiences. Above all, he was a true gentleman.

Ted was an extraordinary man. A truly genuine individual who loved his family and friends dearly. He was very giving and adventurous-- even in his last years. Ted was taken from us too soon.. he had so much more to give to this world. I will miss him dearly

Dear Ted,
So sad that you are gone. But we hopeful to meet you again near Jesus some day. My wife Aliman is missing you a lot. You called her Vnuchka, which means granddaughter. You were able to meet your great granddaughter through the video calls and photos. We will tell her in the future about you.
Many people whom you knew are missing here in Kyrgyzstan. Blessings and comfort from the Father God to your loved ones.
Edil, Aliman and Elisha. Kyrgyzstan

Until the end, I want to avoid this post and face the sadness, but I am writing because I have to spend my grandfather happily. He was a smart person, but he knew the wisdom of life more, and he was a caring and humble person. I will always keep his gran

Until the end, I want to avoid this post and face the sadness, but I am writing because I have to spend my grandfather happily. He was a smart person, but he knew the wisdom of life more, and he was a caring and humble person. I will always keep his grandfather's warmth and attitude toward life in my heart, and I will never forget it.

Ted, I am so sad to hear that you passed away. I can't believe that you just gave me a greeting card on Mother's Day. I first met you through a church program that I was introduced to at school when I came to study in the U.S. in 1999. When I had a baby, you were as happy to see me as if it were your own family.
You have given me so much love. I am really glad to have met you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will miss you.

My husband and I were friends of Ted and his wife back when he was still working on getting his doctorate at the University of Maryland. His daughters were close in age to our daughter. One memorable moment of Ted was when I was questioning all the money spent on the NASA missions. He quietly informed me of some beneficial products that were a result of the research done by NASA. Sadly, I don't remember which ones he mentioned, but he had a good answer.

Worked with Ted and many others writing here in the 90s at SLB, and later at AMAT. I remember Ted was extremely technical with so much experience built up in our field. But more so, what comes to mind for me is how he was always so friendly personally to me and I believe to everyone. He went out of his way to bring ideas and suggestions to make things run better in the group. Often these were low key small changes that together added up to a lot. He was a great colleague and it was an honor to have known him

Ted. I'm so sad to hear that you're gone. I still remember years ago when I first came to work at Gatan part time as a student. You were such a kind leader and very nice to me. I could always get any help from you. You even helped my classmate with her senior project using the Gatan instruments. A few years later, you got me a job at Schlumberger after you went there first. Thanks to you for putting my career on a good path. I will miss you and your warm smile.

Ted was an amazing source of scientific knowledge and a great work coach. I last saw Ted in 2019 and was not even aware his was not well, we were discussing a new project and I was so excited to have the chance to work with Ted again. Ted and i met at Schlumberger in 1994 where he was a great coach and friend and remained so for the last 25 years. It is hard to imagine I cannot give him a quick call for advice and a chat. I can only imagine the gap his passing will leave with his family, I send you all my sincere condolences. I'll miss Ted dearly.

Ted was a mentor to many of us during our careers. He always took the time when I was in town to go out to dinner. Ted was a constant in my career and I am sad to lose a good friend. I was amazed at the number of people Ted knew in the industry. Ted was a quiet man but it never stopped him from reaching out.

To the Lundquist Family, My sincere sympathy to your family and friends on the sad passing of Ted. He was a fellow Woburn High School 1965 classmate who I remember as being quiet, kind, smart, and possessing a nice smile for everyone he spoke with. Hi

To the Lundquist Family,
My sincere sympathy to your family and friends on the sad passing of Ted. He was a fellow Woburn High School 1965 classmate who I remember as being quiet, kind, smart, and possessing a nice smile for everyone he spoke with. His quiet and gentle demeanor earned him the class Most Shy award in our senior year. May your treasured memories of his amazing life sustain you during this sad time.

Ted was our missionary rep at Crossroads Bible Church in San Jose, CA. More than a rep though, Ted was "in our corner" personally as a good friend. Whenever we were in-country, we prioritised meeting with Ted who was someone who really understood missions first-hand. My last coffee with Ted was in Jan 2020 where, as always, he was totally present and interested in how my family was getting along, and I had the pleasure of hearing about his extended sons and daughters outside of the US, who loved him as their own father. Ted had plenty of fatherly love to share no matter where he was. We were blessed to know Ted and will miss him greatly.

When I think of Ted, I remember him as a great listener and a man of God. He had an amazing passion for nations and wanted people to come to know Christ. I will miss talking to him about mission work across the globe. Ted, thank you so much for your heart for us missionaries.

Ted was a lover of God and wanted people to know this God who loves them so much through Jesus Christ. He supported my efforts to bring this good news to people worldwide for over 35 years, first in Japan and later to countries in Central Asia. He attended our church in Tokyo on a visit and later took several trips himself to central Asia to share God's love. He added to many people's lives on those trips in very practical ways. It was an honor and blessing to have known Ted for all these years.

Ted was my mentor, I met him in 2004 that was my first business trip from Taiwan for OptiFIB application training. Over the weekend he drove me to visit Redwood State Park and nature near Silicon Valley.
I will always miss him. Thank you so much, Ted.

I met Ted back in the late 1980's when we both worked at Schlumberger Technologies. He had a profound influence, not only in my career, but for everyone that worked with him as well. He was an incredible mentor and dedicated so much to his work and the industry, which was the better for his contributions. Personally and as my mentor, I owe him just so very much. He was always there to describe in detail and explain whatever was necessary to clarify an issue, be it a system problem or some obscure physics question, he was such a brilliant guy. Ted was one of those truly dynamic people that you thank God that you met and were able to call your friend. I will miss his Christmas cards and personal notes every year and we will miss him so very much.

So sorry to hear this news today. Ted's impact on our industry is well known but as many have mentioned it was his zest for life and relationships with customers and co-workers that made Ted a joy to be around. When we worked together at DCG I enjoyed the times we could have dinner together and talk about life and the things that matter outside of work. Ted, it was a pleasure to know you - you will be missed!

I was so sad to hear of Ted's passing. I worked in a different department but had wonderful interactions with him weekly. I sent a plaque to him that came in the mail this year and he sent me a Thank you email in February this year. I pulled up that email again today just to re-read what he said. I am glad I got to know Ted and pray for peace for all of you. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Ted - Kristy Desrosiers, Co-worker, Alamo, CA
