Teddy Larry Lawing

Teddy Larry Lawing, 73, of Marion, NC, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his residence.
Teddy was born on October 7, 1948, in McDowell County, to the late Dexter Lawing and Myrtle Pittman Lawing. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was married to his wife of forty-three years, Linda Kay McKinney Lawing and attended Redeemed Freewill Baptist Church in Marion. Teddy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also very fond of traveling. Most of all, Teddy enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Lawing; a son, Justin Ryan Lawing (Joanie); a sister, Dixie Davis (Haskell); two brothers, Jerry Lawing and Teddy's twin brother, Gary Lawing; and three grandchildren, Kyle Chapman, Hayley Lawing, and Boo Lawing.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at McDowell Memorial Park. Rev. Jerry McClain will officiate.
