Tejinder Kalay Obituary
He departed on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the age of 74.
Loving husband and best friend of Rupinder Kaur. Deeply caring father of Karan Tejinder Singh (Tanu).
Eldest brother of Kamaljit Singh (Baljit Kaur), and Sanjit Kaur (late, Jaswant Singh).
He earned a Master's Degree in Statistics, and subsequently pursued a career in Computer Science. After running his business in Bombay for 15 years, he was blessed with the opportunity to pursue the American Dream, working at Chrysler in Detroit and eventually retiring in 2025.
He was highly meticulous, and untiring in fulfilling his personal and professional responsibilities, consistently prioritizing the joys and needs of others over his own.
He will be deeply missed by Family and Friends.
Sikh Prayers will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 0930-1100, with visitation from 1100-1130 at the North Chapel of Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd, Utica, MI 48317. This will be followed by a private cremation for the Family at noon at Wilbert Detroit Cremation Services, 44481 N Groesbeck Hwy, Clinton Township, MI 48036. Langar (Lunch) and Sikh Prayers will follow at 1230-1400 at Sikh Gurudwara of Rochester Hills, 271 W Auburn Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or organization. The family requests that you share memories and/or leave condolences in the obituary comments section below.
