My dad was John Thomas Smith from Eastman Ga. They were friends, when they were younger. When she was in town she stopped by to see my dad.

Tempest Storm

Wow, a name I never forgot in 63 years!

At 17 years of age my friend and me, both from New Hampshire, trekked to Boston, MA , 50 miles away, went to the Old Howard Theater with our fake ID’s in our possessions to see Tempest storm. A milestone in our lives!

We were in adult heaven even though total nudity was not developed yet; just pasties and G-strings were allowed. That was plenty for us.

I am 80 years old and that experience never left my memory to this day. I praise my Alzheimer for never letting her leave my cranium.

Godspeed Tempest, and thank you for sharing a part of your long and well lived life with us, and the memories. Now performing eternally in the Ultimate Venue.

The lady and I had a mutual friend from his hometown of Marshall, Texas. He invited me to go with him to an event in LV where she was to be presented a special award. She had lived with him for a time in San Francisco and they were still in touch even though he had retired. At the last minute he could not go but she told him to tell me to come on ahead and she'd see me there. I did go, along with a son who had just returned from the middle east, and we enjoyed the event. She looked great and was very personable to all. Wore a smart black pantsuit but one could tell she still was very shapely and the flowing red hair was looking beautiful as well. She wrote to me at least twice to say she wanted to come and stay in Texas for a while but that never materialized because I had other obligations. All in all it was a pleasure to meet this very pleasant and ladylike world famous stripped who still wanted to be on stage. May God bless her soul for the good she did in this life.
