Teodoro "Lolo" G. Suarez, 87, of Riviera, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, in Kingsville, Texas.
Born on July 24, 1937, in Riviera, Texas, to Pablo and Lionicia Suarez, Teodoro embodied the values of hard work, humility, and devotion to his loved ones. A retired groundskeeper with Texas A&M University-Kingsville, he was admired for his dedication to his work and the serene demeanor he carried throughout his life.
Teodoro was a peaceful and hardworking man who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. His gentle spirit and steadfast love left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers, and his son-in-law, LeRoy Lopez.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 70 years, Maria Suarez of Riviera, Texas. Together, they built a family rooted in love and unity. He is survived by his children: sons Teodoro (Sandra) Suarez Jr. of Ricardo, Texas, and Orlando (Freedom) Suarez of Riviera; and daughters Cristella Suarez, Cristina (Pedro) Machuca of Riviera, Criselda Suarez, Cynthia Suarez, and Patricia (Patrick) Labay of Louise, Texas. He is also survived by two sisters, Esperanza Guevara and Maria Persinger; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one cousin, Jose Suarez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville, Texas. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated at the same location.
Teodoro will be laid to rest at Riviera Cemetery, where his legacy of love, dedication, and family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Arrangements are under the compassionate care of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
