Teresa M. Brown, a gentle and caring spirit, passed away on March 11, 2025, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on September 21, 1951, in Dayton, Teresa embraced life with warmth, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
Teresa dedicated over 35 years to her career as an system analyst at Delphi Chassis Systems before retiring. Her professional journey was marked by diligence, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.
A proud graduate of Patterson COOP in 1969, Teresa cherished her education and the opportunities it brought her. Outside of her professional life, she had a profound love for her dogs, especially her beloved companion, Abby. Teresa found great joy in treating her nieces and nephews as if they were her own, nurturing them with love and care.
Her passion for gardening was evident through her special focus on roses and flowers. In addition to her green thumb, Teresa enjoyed bowling, ceramics, collecting clown figurines and dolls, and pursuing her interests and talents with enthusiasm.
As a longtime member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Teresa’s faith was an integral part of her life. She loved to travel, embracing new experiences and adventures, in the company of friends and relatives.
Teresa is survived by her sister Hermina Lewis; her brother Gerald "Jerry" Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Robert Brown, William Brown, Thomas Brown, Sheryll Orlett, Karen Smith, Timothy Brown, Cynthia Perkins, Ann-Margret Lewis, and Jennifer Folkman, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. She held close friendships with Jill Brown and Kenneth Perkins, and was lovingly cared for by her special healthcare aide, Tywana Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Agnes Brown; her brother Clarence Brown and his wife Marilyn; her sister-in-law, Sandy Brown; and her niece Beth Lewis. Teresa M. Brown leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a reminder to cherish those we hold dear. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Rosary, 22 Notre Dame Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45404.
Teresa will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
