TERESA ANN BURNETT Teresa Ann Burnett, age 84, of Delphos, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at The Springs of Lima. She was born September 1, 1941, in Lima to Robert and Marcella 'Sally' (Ebbeskotte) Kaverman, who both preceded her in death. On February 4, 1961, she married John A. Burnett, who survives. Teresa is also survived by sons; Dave and Ruth (Stose) Burnett, St. Mary's Ohio, Matt Burnett, Virginia Beach, Virgina, daughters; Sue (Steve) Jettinghoff, Delphos, Ohio, grandchildren; Michelle (Amy Mellet) Burnett, Amanda (Scott) Maas, Zach (Emily) Burnett, Kaiti (Nick) Wolford, Kylla Myers, (Wyatt Blockberger), Andrew (Lena) Reed of Springfield, Missouri, great-grandchildren; Damion, Izzy and Aiden Maas, Paisley Wolford, brother; Jim R. (Darlene) Kaverman, Convoy, Ohio, She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Marcella "Sally" (Ebbeskotte) Kaverman; in-laws, Joe and Pearl (Merricle) Burnett; grandson, Spencer Jettinghoff; granddaughter, Alexandria Jettinghoff; sister-in-law, Darlene (Gunsett) Kaverman, brothers-in-law; Joe Jr. and Jim Burnett, sister-in-law; Judy (Burnett) Kroeger. Teresa was a 1959 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School. She was in charge of costumes for the Senior Class Play at Delphos St. John's from 1982 till the end of the 1990s. She had worked at K-mart (Lima), Jauman Insurance, Murphy's, and babysat many children while in grade school and high school. She helped run her father-in-law's business, Equity Dairy Store (Delphos), along with her brother-in-law Jim. Teresa and John were the original owners of The Short Stop in Delphos, also owning the Van Wert Short Stop. She had also worked at the Town House Drive-Thru. She was a den-mother for Cub Scouts and an assistant gymnastic coach at Delphos St. John's with her daughter, Sue. She volunteered at the Interfaith Thrift Shop. She volunteered at the Church Fair, was an extraordinary Distributor of Holy Communion for over 20 years, and was a lifetime member of the St. John's Evangelist Church. Most importantly, she was known as "Mom", "Grandma", "GMA", and "Grammy". A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Trilogy Hospice, Make-A-Wish Foundation, or St. John's Parish Foundation.
