Mrs. Teresa B. DeRamus, a beloved retired educator and guidance counselor, passed away on the 27th of March, 2025, in Anderson, South Carolina, at the venerable age of 88. Born on December 23, 1937, in Williamston, South Carolina, Teresa's life was marked by a steadfast commitment to nurturing the minds and spirits of countless students within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public School System.
With an indomitable spirit and a passion for education, Teresa dedicated herself to the betterment of her community, shaping young lives and guiding them toward brighter futures. Her wisdom and compassion resonated deeply with those fortunate enough to cross her path, as she took pride in her role as both mentor and confidante.
Teresa's journey through life was enriched by the loving bonds she forged with her family. She is survived by her cherished niece, Carol T. Waddy, who held a special place in her heart. Though her immediate family has departed from this earthly plane-her dear mother, Mary O. Anderson, her father, Booker T. Garrison, and her beloved husband, Erskind DeRamus-Teresa's legacy endures through the lessons imparted and the lives she touched.
In celebration of her remarkable life, a visitation will be held on April 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Adams Funeral Services, located at 510 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA. This will be followed by a heartfelt Celebration of Life on April 12, 2025, at The Adams Chapel, beginning at 11:00 AM. * this service will be live streamed on our YouTube channel and shared to our Facebook page beginning at 11 AM: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClQ6Qjr6Gw2LgmWHnmq4T6w
