In Loving Memory of Teresa Hardy January 1, 1967 – March 3, 2026 Teresa Hardy, 59, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at 1:20 PM after a long and difficult battle with declining health. Born on January 1, 1967, in Morganton, Teresa’s life was never an easy one, it was a constant uphill climb. Yet she climbed it anyway. For years, Teresa endured more physical pain and health challenges than most could imagine. Her body grew tired, but her love never did. She fought but not because life was easy, but because her family was worth fighting for. She did not have the quality of life she deserved, yet she gave everything she had to the people she loved most. Teresa is survived by her two daughters, Cara and Sabrina Hardy, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Liam, Cade, and Akira, who brought light into even her darkest days. Being “grandma” was one of her greatest joys. Even on her hardest days, she found strength in their laughter, their hugs, and their need for her.She is survived by her former husband, Robert Hardy; her mother, Carol McNeely; and her brothers, Michael McNeely and David McNeely (who passed just weeks before her on February 18, 2026). She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas McNeely. She also leaves behind many extended family members who meant more to her than words can express.Teresa’s life was marked by sacrifice. When her daughters felt lost, she stepped in. She carried burdens quietly. She loved fiercely. She endured silently. She gave selflessly. Life did not hand Teresa softness. It did not hand her ease. But it did give her a heart that refused to stop loving. Her strength was not loud, it was steady. It was staying. It was doing what had to be done. It was choosing her family over and over again, even when she was exhausted. Those closest to her know that while she and her daughters may not have always seen eye to eye, their bond was unbreakable. She was more than a mother, she was a confidant, a protector, and a constant presence. There will forever be things left unsaid, moments wished back, and hugs longed for again. But above all else, there is love, deep unconditional love that death cannot take away. Teresa deserved a gentler life than the one she received. But even through hardship, she built a legacy of resilience and devotion. Her grandchildren carry her strength forward. Her daughters carry her heart. Though her body has finally found rest, the imprint she left on her family will never fade. She was tired. She fought. And now, she is at peace. Teresa Hardy will be missed beyond measure and loved beyond words.
