Teresa Woods Holguin

Teresa Woods Holguin, age 83 of Deming New Mexico went to be with her Heavenly Father June 29, 2025. She was born October 23, 1941 in Deming New Mexico to Anita Estrada and Albert Woods.
Teresa married the love of her life Arthur G. Holguin and lived a life filled with love, happiness and laughter.
She was caring, generous, outspoken and loved spending time with friends and family, laughing, giving her titi's (sisters) a hard time and trying her luck at the casinos and with "scratchies". Teresa loved watering her flowers and her yard in the early morning and every evening while she prayed for those in need.
She helped raise all of her grandchildren, 6 boys and her youngest the only girl, lucky number 7 who was her "consentida". She showered them with love but also with a strong no nonsense upbringing. Grandma Teresa would brag about each and every one of them.
She supported all of her children and grandchildren at all school functions and made a crocheted blanket for each and every grandchild.
She had a love of diamonds and bling, leopard print and eating everything sweet and delicious with no regret! She was a home maker and was very proud of her home. She learned how to paint and loved painting flowers.
She was a loving and devoted mother and is survived by her oldest son Arthur Woods Holguin (Jr) wife Elia, her only daughter Tina Marie Ochoa husband Mike and her youngest son Ernie Lee Holguin wife Michelle all from Deming. She had six grandsons and one granddaughter. Joseph Arthur Holguin, Michael Warren Ochoa wife Lauren, Jonathan Edward Holguin, Matthew Lee Holguin, Isaac Arthur Holguin wife Didi, Alex Andrew Ochoa and Olivia Ann Holguin. She is survived by one sister, Sylvia Brosemer of Las Cruces and Margie Villegas her best friend and sister in Christ, along with many nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Anita Estrada and Albert Woods; the love of her life her husband Arthur G. Holguin, her brother Richard Woods, her sisters Cecilia (Cia) Aguilar, Rosela Rich, Barbara (Bobbie) Holguin.
Visitation and viewing will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Terrazas Funeral Home and a graveside services on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10 AM at Mountain View Cemetery where Teresa will be laid to rest with her husband Arthur G. Holguin. She will be missed and we will remember her with Love.
