Trix and I had the same excitement over vintage sewing machines. We met when she answered an ad I posted; an ad and a response that blossomed into a lasting friendship.

Trix had the biggest heart I ever knew. Whoever she met became a friend. She opened her door for "Friendsgiving" without hesitation providing fabulous meals and inviting a houseful a people she loved. I always admired her for doing that.

I'll always remember her smile, creativity and skill in sewing and cooking and her dedication to her work. Her memory will remain with those she helped and was acquainted with. She will be sadly missed.

Teresa was my first boss at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas. She hired me as a tech while I was attending nursing school at Kilgore, College. I continued to work for her after graduation as a new nurse for another year until my husband and I moved to Lubbock. She wrote me a letter of recommendation stating I was a good nurse but a management challenge. I went on to run a cardiac rehab program in Conroe, Texas where I am still working.
