Terrance “Terry” L. Patterson, age 72, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 with his family at his side. Born on September 28, 1953, Terry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked for many years as a dedicated and skilled welder at General Dynamics, where he continued his love for service and country building the Abrams tank for our US military. Terry had a love for travel and a deep devotion to his family. He loved Jeeps and was the life of the party always. His kind heart, adventurous spirit, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children: Faith (Shawn) Thurman, Phillip Patterson, Robert Patterson, and Kathryn Patterson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Patterson; brothers Ricky Gainer, Anthony Patterson, and Theodore Patterson; his sister, Patty Patterson; and his beloved grandson, Robert Patterson. A private military graveside service will be held for immediate family only to honor and remember Terry’s life and service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Veterans (AMVETS), 265 North Ave., Washington, PA 15301 in Terry's name.
