Terrence (Terry) Jean Caffee, was a quiet man who lived a life of hard work and simple joys, passed away October 16, 2025 at his home in Inyokern, California. He was 87 years old.

Born on February 19, 1938 in Remsen, Iowa at his Grandparents farm in Plymouth County, Iowa, to Eunice Maxine and Creighton Eugene Caffee, Terry grew up with a strong sense of duty and a love for the outdoors. He spent many years working as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers 12, working on many road projects in California and Oregon. After retiring, he and his wife pursued Terry's love of mining.

Terry was a long time resident of Inyokern, where he found comfort in the quiet rhythms of life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family gatherings. He was reclusive by nature, but deeply loyal to those he loved.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jessie Lorene Caffee; his son Gregory Earl Caffee; stepchildren Robin Storte and RonnieJo Starr; and his sister Barbara (Ed) Lasky. He also leaves behind grandchildren Samuel, Stephanie, Steven, Christopher and Joshua, as well as several great-grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Colleen in 1963, his daughter Janet Denise in 2009, and his brother Leslie in 2019. Though he carried these losses quietly, they were never far from his heart.

Though rigid in many ways, his life was marked by love for family, and an appreciation for simple things. May he rest in peace.
