. . . Terry and I met when we were 11 years old and were best friends from that moment to this moment now. We played on baseball teams together, met in various cities around the world together, co-authored five books together, and kept each other laughing all the way.
. . . He was an inspiration to me every step of the way. He showed me, through his creativity, love of life and passion for sports, music, literature, art, drama and poetry how fully a person could live.
. . . His passing, although blessed and merciful for him (because he was really suffering) is a huge loss to me and the many other people who loved him and...even better, were always entertained by him.
. . . The planet is not the same without him. And will never be the same.

Miranda, this is Bob Stein, the usher at Saratoga Race Track in the section where you and Terry hung out. I want to express to you my sincere condolences on Terry´s passing. I missed you guys last summer and was told Terry was having health problems. That made me sad; this makes me sadder.
I did appreciate the obituary which well expanded my knowledge of Terry´s life. What I learned was remarkable, but also not surprising. One could tell, without knowing Terry very well, that he must have achieved much.
Not the least of those achievements was his family and your marriage. I am guessing your summers in Saratoga were more Terry´s thing than yours, but I do hope you come back to visit. You, too, are part of our family here.
