Terrence Milardo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Family-Funeral & Cremation - Pensacola from Oct. 24 to Oct. 27, 2025.
Terrence (Terry) John Milardo, Sr., 84, of Pensacola, Florida, beloved husband of Margaret (Cantrell) Milardo, passed away surrounded by loving family on September 17, 2025.

Terry was born in Middletown, CT, the son of the late Salvatore Joseph and Rose (Tracy) Milardo.

Raised in the North End on Pearl Street and Spring Street, he was a parishioner of St. John's Church, where he served as an altar boy and went to school in his youth. He later graduated from Middletown High School.

At a young age, Terry wanted to be a drummer-so much so that he told his older brother, Don, in hopes of his parents allowing him to practice. He later followed his aspiration to become a musician by attending Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT, and performing as a member of the local band The Merry Makers. He also took part in local parades and the St. Sebastian Feast playing the bass drum.

Throughout his lifetime, Terry had numerous talents, hobbies and passions. He was an avid Yankees fan and also enjoyed watching football with his son, Terry Jr. He loved going to the opera and listening to jazz music. Additionally, Terry was an enthusiastic bowler who also loved to play golf.

Through the years, Terry played music, attended school and worked full-time. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney as a foreman tool inspector, owned a package store called The Grog Shop, worked at Singer Sewing Machine and attended school for both hairdressing and law. After years of struggling and raising a family, Terry fulfilled his second dream of becoming an attorney.

He graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law and at the age of 55, retired from Pratt & Whitney and opened a practice out of his home known as Terrence J. Milardo, Attorney and Counselor at Law where he practiced until he retired. At the age of 64, Terry moved to Naples, Florida and married his long-time love, Marge.

In addition to his wife, Marge, Terry is survived by his brother Donald Milardo and loving wife Shirley Milardo, sister Kathleen Ceplenski and loving husband Ted Ceplenski, his son Terry Milardo Jr. and loving wife Penny Milardo and his two daughters Cheryl Milardo and Michelle Milardo.

He also leaves his step-daughter Dawn (Cantrell) Gonzalez and step-son Rodney Cantrell; his nieces Suzanne Milardo and Corinne Milardo; his nephews David Ceplenski, Christopher Ceplenski and loving wife Martha Ceplenski and Thomas Milardo; his grandchildren Nicholas Milardo, Matthew Milardo, Sabrina Lowrey, Sarah Lowrey, Jordan Milardo, Michael Gonzalez, Marcus Gonzales, Kevin Cantrell and Caleb Cantrell and his great-granddaughter Kiara Sessoms.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at St John's Church in Middletown, CT at 11:00 AM.
