SHAW, Terri Norwood

Terri Norwood Shaw, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on February 10, 2026. A devoted wife, beloved mother and grandmother, cherished sister, and treasured friend, Terri lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. Her life was grounded in deep spirituality and was guided by her favorite quote, "Let it begin with me." She lived each day with kindness, generosity, and quiet strength.

Born November 20, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of Ruby and Henry Kimbrough Norwood, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1967 and later worked in various roles, including a position with Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell, which she remembered with great pride.

On April 20, 1979, she married the love of her life, David Shaw. Together they built a beautiful life in Marietta, and later Milton, Georgia, raising their children: Tracie, Matthew, Andrew, and Rachel. She poured her heart into her children and later into her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.

Terri was a lifelong member of the Roswell Women's Club and volunteered with organizations including HomeStretch and Senior Services North Fulton. She loved creating family traditions including Sunday suppers, Christmas baking, and the annual beach trips she planned for more than 30 years. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and organizing meaningful gatherings that brought loved ones together.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Shaw; her sister, Vicki McGill (Thomas Mcgill); her children: Tracie Steiner (Joseph Steiner), Matthew Shaw (Jeramey Shaw), Andrew Shaw, and Rachel Agee (Joshua Agee); her grandchildren: Samuel Steiner, Lilly Steiner, Jackson Steiner, Millicent Shaw, Emmerson Shaw, Easton Agee, and Palmer Agee. She also leaves many extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 27, 2026 at Unity North Atlanta Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA 30066. Visiting with family will begin at 10:30 AM, Service at 11:00 AM, with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS United of Georgia or Senior Services North Fulton in her memory.
