Terrill Dowell A Ware, 88, of Liberty passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Born November 22, 1937, he was the son of the late Ressie Sylvus and Florence Evelyn Wilson Ware.

Terrill Dowell A worked as a machinist at Twigg Corporation where he made a part used on the Moon Rover and all Apollo Missions. He loved Bluegrass music. He was self-taught and played guitar for 80 years. He had started to learn banjo in the past few years. He especially loved to read the scriptures and write in his journal. He always enjoyed a good laugh and telling jokes. He loved visiting his friends and joining in a jam session.

Survivors include his dear son, Steven Duane (Lois) Ware of Scottsburg, Indiana; precious daughters, Elizabeth Diane (Mark) Pierce of Kaysville, Utah and Malena Darlene (Brian) Shaw of Cincinnati, Ohio; despite being the only child of Ressie and Evelyn; Ressie and Vera provided him with 6 more siblings. half-sister, Margaret (Mike) Neal of Ohio; stepsister, Doris Sipple of Kentucky, half-brothers, Raphael (Donna) Ware of Tennessee and Lynn (Teresa) Ware of Ohio and sister-in-law, Andrea Ware, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Sonny, Kayla, Stephanie, Stevie, Erin, Morgan, Eli, Mahala and Dante; and 10 great grandchildren, Jared, Evie, Jax, Liam, Trevin, Silas, Ollie, Clara, Edwin, and James. He is predeceased by his parents, his half-brothers, Lewis Ware and Larry Ware and the mother of his children, Shirley Corn Lane.

Pallbearers will be John Looney, Brian Shaw, Eli Shaw, Mark Pierce, Sean Robinson, Sonny Ware and Andrew Weddle.

Visitation is 11am-1pm, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with burial at Lawhorn Hill Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
