Terry Adkison Obituary
Terry Adkison, age 78, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024. He was born December 9, 1945, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Alton and June Gano Adkison. Terry spent his formative years in Darlington, Florida. After graduating from Walton High School, he went on to work for Walton County Public Works, where he later retired.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and June Adkison.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Sikes (Danny); two grandchildren, Jeremy and Nathan Sikes; one sister, Dianne Elliott; nephew, Jerrad Brooks (Kacey); one great nephew, Elliott Brooks; and numerous cousins, family and special friends.
Those asked to serve as pallbearers are Jerrad Brooks, Lloyd Padgett, Scottie Padgett, and Owen Cook.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Smith officiating. Committal services will follow at Darlington Baptist Church Cemetery.
