Terry Sexton Austin, age 65, of Gulfport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 15, 2023.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David Austin; her children, Christy Austin Gollahon (Shane) and Matthew Austin (Hope); her parents, Harley Edward and Mary Francis Sexton; her siblings, Harley Edward Sexton, III (Debbie) and Mary Sexton; her 4 grandchildren, John Haize Austin, Hannah Grace Gollahon, Penelope Jane Austin, and Rosemary Claire Austin; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Austin was a native of Gulfport and attended Harding University. She was employed with the City of Gulfport and later with Edrington Optical for 17 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, lampworking glass beads, handcrafted jewelry, and serving her church family and surrounding communities.
She served alongside her husband at the Gulfport Church of Christ and worked for many years in children’s ministry. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Conn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
