St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Coteau Holmes, for Terry J. Broussard, 75, who passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville, on Friday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Friday by Mrs. Dot Daspit.
Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Desiree Theriot and Jenna Theriot. Gift bearers will be Danielle Theriot, Jordie Dore' and Kai Berard.
Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes.
Terry, a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and the American Legion in Parks, dedicated his life to providing for his family as a truck driver, creating a foundation of love and support. His passions included camping, horseback riding in his younger days, watching old western movies, and playing practical jokes, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
A man of strength and kindness, Terry will be remembered for his firm yet compassionate nature, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He delighted in family gatherings, especially with his beloved granddaughter Jordie, the apple of his eye.
Terry J. Broussard's legacy will endure through the memories and love he shared with his family and friends, leaving a profound impact on all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his spouse, Claire H. Broussard; daughters, Dana B. (Danny) Theriot and Terri Lynn (Tommy) Dore'; brother, Howard J. Broussard, Jr.; sister, Ann B. (Malcolm) Thomassee, Sr.; grandchildren, Danielle Theriot, Desiree' Theriot, Joshua Theriot, Jenna Theriot, and Jordie Dore'; and his great grandchildren, Dawson Theriot, Kai Berard, Elijah Bourque, Eliana Bourque, and Sebastian Theriot.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. and Mae Granger Broussard; paternal grandparents, Edward and Antillia Broussard; and his maternal grandparents, Dewey and Pola Granger.
Pallbearers will be Danny Theriot, Tommy Dore', Joshua Theriot, Dawson Theriot, Mel Bertrand, Jr., and Kenny Bertrand.
Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Blanchard Jr., Malcolm Thomassee Jr., Chad Thomassee, David Poirier, and Kim Champagne.
