Terry Childs

Terry Eugene Childs Age 70, went home to be with the lord November 5, 2025 at The Ohio state University Ross heart hospital. He was born November 30, 1954 to Lennell and Sonia Childs in Columbus, Ohio.
Growing up, Terry attended Columbus public schools before enlisting in the United States marine corps serving in the Vietnam war at age 17. After serving his country, he spent many years traveling living in Miami Florida and Winston Salem North Carolina. Once he returned back home in 1993, he met his long time partner and friend Karen Blue. They share their only child, Terri Lynn Childs whom he loved and adored. He was very proud of all her accomplishments.
Terry was always passionate about the Lord, music and art. He had many beautiful art pieces he created, as well as woodworking. A natural self taught craftsman, he loved playing one of his many harmonicas and would happily pull it out and play a song for you. He loved the outdoors and nature. You would see him almost anywhere in the city riding his beloved scooter. He called his Harley Davidson, and he may have even tooted his horn at you in passing.
Terry is proceeded in death by his parents Sonia and Lennell Childs, brothers Charles Childs, Lennell Childs Jr., James Childs, and sister Jacqueline Turner.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beautiful daughter Terri Lynn Childs and her mother Karen Blue, sisters Lynda Childs, Severe Reeves, Lynnell (Benjamin) Chandler, Collette (David) Copeland, brothers Toby Childs, Dwayne Childs and a host of nieces and nephews and friends he loved dearly.
Terry Eugene Childs's legacy will continue to be cherished by his family and friends, who will forever remember his kindness, love, and unwavering spirit.
