Terry Collins

ROCK HILL, SC — Terry Ryyth Collins, 77, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026. Born on June 16, 1948, in Sarles, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Titus Ryyth and Betty Andrews Ryyth.

Terry retired from Omnova Solutions in Chester, SC. Though a proud North Dakota native, she spent much of her life in the South and developed a deep appreciation for Southern culture. She had a special love for animals, a trait she lovingly passed down to her daughters. Terry also enjoyed cooking and entertaining, shopping, and reading. A devoted football fan, she especially loved cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Terry is survived by her daughters, Amy Evans and Jo Tucker (Derick); four beloved grandchildren, Nathan Evans (Meagan), Annie Gracen Evans, Emily Tucker Butler (Matt), and Mason Tucker; one great granddaughter, Parker Evans and her sister, Sherry Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ric Ryyth and Rob Ryyth; and her sister, Bonnie Johnson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jackie Bailey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at Burgess Funeral Home.
