Memorial Services for Terry Cumberland will be Monday, July 28, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. from McClain Hays Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Burke Officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until service time.
Terry was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS. He was a 1984 graduate of Neshoba Central High School. Terry was also graduate of MSU and received his degree in Education. He taught at Meridian Public Schools for eight years. In 2009 he started his poultry business Cumberland Farms and was still running them until his retirement in 2024. Terry was a big history buff and was always wanting to learn more. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Terry was Baptist by faith and raised at an early age in a Baptist church.
Survivors include sons, Marshall Cumberland (Ashley) of Philadelphia, MS; Charles Cumberland (Josie) of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren, Creed and Raelynn Cumberland; brothers, Sam Cumberland (Dorothy) of Pelahatchie, MS and Pete Cumberland of Philadelphia, MS.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mattie Cumberland; parents, Sam Cumberland Sr. and Mary Cumberland.
