Terry Gene Dockery, born March 21, 1965. went home to be with Jesus Nov. 16 after his brief battle with cancer.

Terry was a proud member of the Chestnut Hill Community, serving as a county commissioner for 15 years. He worked with the Chestnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department for the past 35 years and served as the treasurer for many years. He worked at Bush's Bros. for more than 42 years holding nearly every job possible.

He touched many lives and was a friend to all. He was a proud citizen of Jefferson County and truly enjoyed being part of the community.

He was preceded in death by grandparents John Ike and Bonnie Ford and Ponder and Alice Dockery, and father Neil Riley Dockery.

He is survived by son Dalen (Anna) Dockery and his expected grandchild, Dalen's mother Debbie Dockery, mother Imogene Dockery, Brother Neil Ronald Dockery, and a host of friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be Nov. 20 at Farrar Funeral Home chapel at 7 p.m. in Dandridge with Dr. Keith Thornton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-7 p.m.

A graveside service will be Nov. 21 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chestnut Hill United Methodist Cemetery Fund, in the care of Mike Smelcer, 478 County Line Road, Dandridge, Tennessee 37725.
