Terry Ebert Obituary

Terry W. Ebert MD

May 10, 1942 - Nov 14, 2025

Terry W. Ebert MD, born May 10, 1942, passed away November 14, 2025, age 83 after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Vicky (nee Rundle) 1 daughter: Liesel Ebert; 1 sister: Walda (late Greg) Willett; 1 brother: David (Natalia) Ebert; beloved dogs: Schatzie, Heidi, Teddy and Horse Lily; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Edna (nee Yarck) Ebert.

Terry graduated from Hammond High School class of 1960. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Stanford University in 1964. Terry then attended medical school at Indiana University, Indianapolis, and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1968, after which he did a one-year Internship in Mixed surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

He then proudly served as Captain in the Army Medical Corps in Vietnam returning and beginning a three-year residency in dermatology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago from 1971-1974 where he met the love of his life and best friend in 1973. After finishing his residency, he set up a private practice in Munster, Indiana, where he practiced dermatology for 45 years.

Terry was a brilliant and unique individual whose obnoxious and goofball personality will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a fiercely independent and private person who loved his family and adored his pets. A military graveside service will be private.

Dr.Ebert was my dermatologist who educated me about the dangers of intense sun´s rays. He removed several blemishes for me and was a great comic putting me at ease for the procedures.

Dr. Terry Ebert was a great man. He helped me tremendously through the years with the skin condition of acne for over 20 years. He truly wanted to help people and showed a genuine interest in medicine.

A wonderful caring doctor. I lived out of state but was staying locally to take care of a parent. I had a rare immmune disease affecting my skin and needed the care of a dermatologist for the duration of my stay. He was amazing in handling my rare disorder until I returned home.
