Terry Alan Ekeren was born in Yankton, SD on September 18, 1958 to Robert and Rose (Bogner) Ekeren. He was a 1976 graduate of Crofton High School. Terry worked at B.A. Tramp Oil and Feed, Kenny’s 24-hour Service, Wilson Trailer, Alumax, Scotland Nursing Home and Genwest Marketing as a salesman and other jobs, including helping his parents manage Terry Peak Ski Lodge in the Hills. Terry could fix and tinker with small motors and mechanical work as a trade he enjoyed. He retired in December of 2021.
Terry loved his team the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing pool with his brothers and nephew, Duane and many beloved friends.
He is survived by his siblings: Russ (Janelle) Ekeren, Yankton, SD, Tom Ekeren, Deadwood, SD, Dan (Jana) Ekeren, Yankton, SD, Pam (Bob Buehlmann) Ekeren, Sturgis, SD, Lonnie (Lynett) Ekeren, Yankton, SD and Barb Ekeren, Bradenton, FL; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Terry loved life and lived life on his own terms in the fullest and simplest fashion. He will be missed by many.
