Terry A. Gibson, 76, of Jefferson, Oregon passed away at his home on October 6th, 2025.

The son of Delbert and Beverly (Schrunk) Gibson, he was born in Albany, Oregon. Raised in Jefferson, Oregon where he attended Jefferson Elementary through Jefferson High School. Terry married High School sweetheart Carol Ann Jones on November 2, 1968 in Scio, Oregon. Soon father to daughter, Sherry. Terry was a long dedicated employee of Willamette Industry from 1968 to 2004 where he retired as a head department supervisor. After a few years of retirement he decided to go back to work at Jefferson Elementary School for 10 years, where he enjoyed working and building friendships with the staff and students. After he decided to fully retire, he turned his focus to his family and friends.

You could always feel Terry's warm presence everywhere he was. You could hear his contagious laugh, see his mischievous grin that would light up a room. He always had something quick and witty to say. One of his greatest and most loved memorable talents was his story telling. He had such a way of sharing his life stories that he had the privilege to experience with some of his best friends throughout his life.

Terry was a remarkable, outstanding man. He had a lot of hobbies, such as hunting, fishing, old cars, sports, woodworking and in later years he found love in decorating. He had such a love for history and antiques, and spent a lot of time collecting and hunting for the perfect pieces to complete his vision and make it come to life.

One of the most special gifts about Terry was his unconditional love, support and guidance to his family and friends.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Mike) Brown; sister, Teresa (Ron) Lacy; grandchildren Michaela (Jonathan) Stewart and Gibson Brown; great-grandson, Jackson Stewart.

He was preceded by his wife, Carol.

There will be an 11:00am graveside service at Jefferson Cemetery on Monday, November 3rd.
