Terry Steven Gilbert

 

Terry Steven Gilbert, 65, of Oxford, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Thursday, June 22, 2023, in Melbourne, Arkansas.

He was born in Calico Rock, Arkansas, on September 21, 1957, son of the late Everett and Fredia (Carter) Gilbert. Terry was united in marriage to Brenda Cunningham on July 7, 1977, in Oxford, Arkansas.

During his working years, Terry worked as a truck driver and farmer. He was a hard worker, loved farming, and enjoyed truck driving. He was loyal to a fault and loved his family; especially his grandchildren. He had no enemies and loved everyone; he never met a stranger.

Terry was a member of Oxford United Methodist and Presbyterian Church in Oxford, Arkansas.

Terry is survived by his wife, Brenda Gilbert of Oxford, Arkansas; sons, Brandon Gilbert (Katie) of Oxford, Arkansas and Cameron Gilbert (Sara) of Evening Shade, Arkansas; sister, Glenna Taylor of Harrisonville, Missouri; grandchildren, Abbie Gilbert, Grace Gilbert, and Olivia Gilbert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lavonna Lemons, and brother Darrell Gilbert.

Pallbearers include: Jeremy Russell, Jody Russell, Jackson Russell, Doug Tanner, Bruce Tanner, and Denton Reiley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Doty Family Funeral Chapel in Salem, Arkansas at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bobby Coleman officiating. Burial will follow services at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
