Terrance (Terry) A. Gordon, age 67, of Westerville, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. He was born in San Bernardino, CA on August 18, 1956.
An avid fan of sports, he loved cheering on the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Ohio State Buckeyes, especially the football team. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his sons and brothers, and played softball for many years. Handy at fixing and building things, Terry took pride in owning his own business—A Touch of Glass & Mirror—which he ran for more than 20 years. In retirement, he chose to spend his time working the grounds at Brookside Country Club, where he was able to combine his love for golf and nature while enjoying the serenity of the golf course. He was very close with his son, brothers, and sister. He would typically spend hours on the phone each week catching up with all of them.
Terry was a deeply devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and—most of all—husband. Terry met his wife Marsha on the softball diamond at the summer parks and recreation program in the neighborhood where they grew up more than 50 years ago. They were married in 1978, celebrating their 45th anniversary in Kauai in September ’23, with family. He is deeply loved and missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his son Sean Gordon; parents John and Janet Gordon; and brother Tim Gordon. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Gordon; son Zachary Gordon (Samantha); grandson William Gordon; brothers Tom Gordon (Elizabeth) and Ted Gordon; sister Teresa Klabus (Brian); nephews Travis Gordon and Todd Gordon (Robyn); and nieces Nicole Klabus and Katlin Klabus. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 10 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm, with a memorial service immediately following at 1:00pm, where friends and family may share stories and fond memories of Terry.
