Terry Raymond Goyt

Terry Goyt, 74, of Linden passed peacefully on March 31, 2023, with his beloved wife and son by his side. Born in Lansing, Michigan on August 22, 1948, to the late Raymond & Lorraine Goyt.
He is survived by his wife Carole; son, Joey (wife, Christina); four grandchildren, Cailey, Skyler, Allie & Josiah; brother, Rick; sister, Roxanne (husband, Jersey); brother Todd (wife, Carol); brother Matthew (wife, Roberta); 16 nieces & nephews, and everyone whom all held special place in his heart.
Terry served in the United States Army during the Tet offensive Vietnam war as a helicopter door gunner. Terry worked at Ford Motor Company before moving to family business at Mutual Plastics Company where he later retired. Terry was very dedicated to volunteering in many different organizations achieving awards and certificates. Throughout the years he loved trips up north to the family cabin and condo in Florida. He also loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and enjoyed time on the golf course. Sharing many of these times with his family & grandchildren meant everything to him as his family was his heart and soul. His family will never forget the love and adventures they had with him. Terry always made time to be present for his son & grandchildren during sporting events and school activities.
Music was always an important aspect of his life, having attended numerous of concerts with his wife Carole dancing and singing the night Away. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him. Forever in our hearts.
Visitation for Terry will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell, MI.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm in Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell, MI.
