Terry L. "Gooch" Griffin

Funeral services for Terry L. "Gooch" Griffin, age 62, of Lineville, will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville, with Bro. Brandon Johnson and Bro. Ben Milam officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Griffin passed away on Thursday December 25, 2025 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. He had worked for most of his life as a truck driver for various hauling and logging companies including IndusTREE Logging where he had worked the longest. In his younger days he enjoyed modified stock car drag racing, more importantly to Terry, was spending time with his family, especially operating remote control cars and airplanes with his grandson Kenyon, or playing "UNO" with his granddaughter Kourtney.
He is survived by his wife Michelle K. Griffin and daughter Alexandria Griffin of Lineville, two grandchildren; Kenyon and Kourtney Griffin, one brother; Larry Griffin (Jennifer Saxon) of Lineville, two nieces; Jasmine East (Josh) and Joshonna Key (John), and one nephew; Tyler King.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Kenyon Griffin and Dorothy "Dot" Sanderson Griffin, and one grandson; Karson Griffin.
Active pallbearers will be Dexter Gamble, Wade King, Wayne Saxon, Chris East, John M. Saxon, Dylan Baker, and Dewayne Lambert.
Honorary pallbearers will be his truck driving friends.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Monday.
Flowers will be accepted however the family would prefer memorial contribution be made to help with the funeral expenses.
