I would like to say how enormously saddened I was and still am about the passing of Terry. His humanity and compassion for everyone stood out in our world . I have loved his voice and his music with The Specials mostly from the age of 12 and the lyrics really got me. I also loved the music from The Fun Boy Three and The Colourfield too . I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to his family , friends and of course band mates. I honestly can’t believe how deeply we as fans are feeling this loss. I have cried at random times and listened to his music continuously . We have all lost an absolute Legend and gentleman . I am so so glad I got to see him and the band live in Carlisle May 2019 it was epic ! LOVE LOVE LOVE

In July 1979 I heard Gangsters on TOTP which turned a switch on for me with Terrys voice being the light, I was 17 then and 61 now and that light will never go out for me. We were a mixed race gang of lads from Harehills in Leeds and we dressed just like the Special AKA those days were the best. Long live the memory of Terry Hall X
