Terry L. Knipp Sr.

Terry Lee Knipp, Sr. 60, of Pedro, passed away Sunday (August 7, 2011) at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton, Ohio native was born July 30, 1951 the son of the late Herbert Lee and Pauline Genevieve Addis Knipp. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Leona Audrey Dalton Knipp of Pedro. Mr. Knipp was a 1971 graduate of Rock Hill High School and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a former employee of Allied Chemical where he worked in the water treatment department and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a brother: Jerry Knipp 2 sisters: Jane Knipp Lewis and Elizabeth Ann Lewis In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son: Terry Lee Knipp, Jr. of Pedro 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Theresa and Jamie Laney of South Point and Tracie Knipp of Pedro 2 granddaughters: Breanna Laney and Savanna Laney both of South Point 2 brothers and a sister-in-law: Tony and Jan Knipp of Ironton and Scott Knipp of Pedro 2 sisters and brother-in-law: Tina Stafford of Ashland, KY and Melissa and Paul Dalton of Pedro a sister-in-law: Imogene Knipp of Louisa, KY several nieces and nephews Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Thursday (August 11, 2011) in Dalton Cemetery with Rev. Dale Knipp and Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio.
